[ one day, in front of the door to his dorm room, Megumi will find a gift. a proper gift: it's even in a box, with wrapping paper and ribbon tied around it, made into a bow on the top. the wrapping paper does seem to be homemade, and it's rather crinkled, but it's clear a lot of effort went into it. the tag on one loop of the bow, in Lortel's recognizable handwriting, says only Megumi's name. (next to it, she's drawn a little heart.)
when he opens it, he'll find within a plushie of a wolf. jet black, except for a red marking on its forehead. this mark, too, seems to have been somewhat inexpertly added with paint, but it's there.
it's Kuro, of course. or rather, clearly meant to be a (hopefully decent) facsimile of the shikigami, anyway.
she isn't there to see his reaction to it. she didn't do it to see the look on his face, after all.
but she remembered the other plushies in his room, and hoped this would make him smile. ]
